"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

Trust...In All Circumstances and Situations

It's easy to trust when everything in your life is going well. But things often move to a different level when we experience trials and difficulties. We may feel that we aren't where God wants us to be because we are having troubles, or are confused. But it is usually during those hard times that we learn the most and grow closer to the Lord, particularly when we accept where we are and stop fighting against it. Some roads that God leads us on our rocky and hard and perhaps even full of thorns and briers. The path is not always easy.

I have been on a difficult path since the beginning of November. It is a road that I would not have chosen, but it is where God has me right now. It is one that has involved many medical tests and doctor visits. At this point, I still have more tests to undergo before I hopefully will have an answer to the cause of the medical issues. At this point the doctor has suspicions of what it could be. I take comfort in the fact that my Lord knows what is going on with me.

But despite the circumstances and the situation that I am undergoing I choose to put my trust in the Lord. I follow Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Sounds like we are on similar 'paths'. Your faith will be tested on more levels than you thought. Know that you are a beloved daughter of God and that He has you in the palm of His hand. You are never forgotten. Fling ALL your cares/concerns/worries onto Him. You are not alone on your journey.
