"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

New Beginnings

It is the beginning of a New Year. Many make resolutions to eat healthy, lose weight, get organized, etc. They have good intentions and plan to be different this year. Perhaps they do well for the first few weeks of January. But then, something happens that gets you off track. Maybe you suddenly snap and give in to the urge to eat snack foods or you just don't feel like exercising today...or the next day.

One of the greatest things I enjoy about being a Christian is that each day can be a new day. No matter how much we fail or mess things up we still can start over again. Our Lord always has open arms and desires for us to be walking each day with Him. Choose each day this year to be eagerly serving and following the Lord.

Happy New Year!!
