"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

Normal?

I think it was Erma Bombeck who said something along the lines that 'normal is only a setting on the dryer.' At my house things have been far from normal.

This summer was spent helping my in-laws 'downsize' and unfortunately a lot of those items have taken up residence in my home. Things were so crazy that we just stacked boxes and furniture wherever there was open space, hoping to get to it in the near future.

Then in late September my mother-in-law's health started a downward decline and almost two months were spent caring for her until finally on November 4th she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I'm still catching up on rest after weeks of being up through the night assisting her with personal needs. Honestly, I miss her tremendously.

Now I'm back home and trying to make some semblance of order out of my life and home. I hope to start regular postings again. In case someone out there actually missed my musings. :)

How normal has your life been lately?
