"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

The Preacher's Bride by Laurie Kingery

The Preacher's Bride by Laurie Kingery is one of the Love Inspired Historical books for October 2012. I had the distinct pleasure of reading this tale about a young woman named Faith Bennett, who is attracted to the new preacher, Gil Chadwick. Only one problem - she has lost her faith in God and questions whether He really exists, and if He does, then how could He have let her brother die.

Her friendship with the minister deepens as she helps to take care of his ailing father. Will she be able to overcome her doubts about the Lord and find love in the process? This book by Laurie Kingery is a delightful read.

This book was provided free for review by the author and Love Inspired Books.
