"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

Seasons and Changes

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Ever feel like you're stuck in a rut and you can't get out of it, no matter how hard you try? Perhaps you made your way a foot or two higher in the hole, only to slide back down, maybe deeper than you already were.

I love this scripture from Ecclesiastes which describes the different seasons of life we experience. As I read through the verses, so many of them depict the season of life I see set before me. I find myself excited about the future and what God has in store for me and my family. It's time to move on to a new season.
