"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

Communication

I have been thinking about the art of communication. It is something vital to our existence - being able to connect with someone else. I was surprised when I checked out a Christian bookstore online and found not too many books along that subject. But yet men and women often communicate very differently. There are many times that I can say something that my husband does not understand and vice versa. We don't always speak the same language it seems.

It's been said that women have more words each day that they communicate. I have found from experience that it is very uplifting to have another female friend or two that you can talk with. Women are more verbal and often get satisfaction from meeting together with a friend, just to chat.

Communication is something that we can all improve on doing, especially with our spouses. Make a point today of sharing with your husband. If you are single, make a point of connecting with a friend.
