"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Matthew 5:14-15

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

Blessings

I have to be honest. It has been a rough week for me emotionally. Satan has been doing his best to get me down and discouraged this week. But I can finally say that now I am feeling victorious.

What made the difference? Several things I'm sure - prayer was a biggie. But I also had a friend that came alongside me and just listened and encouraged me. She couldn't change the situation or do anything physically to make it better. But she did commiserate, encourage and pray. She also called to make sure that I was all right.

The neat thing about this whole situation is that we have only been friends for two months. It is a type of friendship that I have been praying for most of my life. I am amazed at how quickly we have bonded and have been able to share from the heart with each other. God brought me a best friend even when I didn't know I needed one.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!" Thank you for picking me up my friend! :) Thank you too to my bloggy friends that leave comments that encourage me as well. I am truly blessed.

Glad you are feeling better! I have been feeling out of sorts for a few weeks myself. Not sure if it's mostly from physical problems....my stiff neck....or from something else. Just from talking with other Christian friends I feel that we are under a spiritual attack in these last days. And the BUSY-NESS that consumes most all of us! It is definitely not good for our system.

God bless you Friend,

Marilyn
