This morning a new mattress and box spring were delivered for my oldest son. I had the delivery men place them in our entrance hall so I would be able to get things cleaned up back in his bedroom. I noticed earlier that all kinds of papers, toys, pencils, pens, shoes, candy wrappers, envelopes, and dirt had accumulated over the years. It had been a while since that area of his room had seen the light of day.
As I sorted through the obvious garbage, shoes, toys, and papers that he needs to go through, I finally was at the point of being able to vacuum. It was transformed from a cluttered, dirty floor to a spotless blue carpet. It was a sight to behold.
Now things are clean and ready for the new mattress and box spring to be place on his bed frame. I won't attempt that myself since I have been dealing with back strain, but instead will wait for my strong husband to assist me.
I couldn't help but think about the transformation that I saw in my son's room as I dealt with the debris under his bed. It made me think of the various sins that could be clogging up our hearts. All that is needed is to confess them to God and to ask Him to 'vacuum' us clean. He can take our filthy hearts and make them new again. I'm so glad that God is in the 'cleaning business.'

Amen Pearls! So glad that our spiritual cleanliness depends on being washed in the blood of the Lamb and not in any earthly pool of water!
You made me want to go and clean up something here in my house! Need to go through my closet and thin out some of the un-necessary clothes that I never wear anymore.
God bless,
Marilyn
